More Scholarships to check out

Wien International Scholarship

The Wien International Scholarship Program is a scholarship opportunity for international students at Brandeis University just outside of Boston, MA in the USA. Wien is a need-based scholarship that may cover full or partial costs. The competition is world-wide and so only students of the highest academic standing would be considered.

Interested students should thoroughly investigate the Brandeis University website to ensure that they are a good match in terms of programs offered and entrance criteria.

You can also find out more about the Wien Scholarship if you go to the American Embassy.

Here's another site I found. I have not had a lot of time to check through it, but you might find something interesting: http://www.scholarshipnet.info/category/undergraduate/

On this site there are a couple of African-focus scholarships that look interesting, particularly this one: http://www.scholarshipnet.info/category/undergraduate/ This might be worth checking out.

What DO you want to do for the rest of your life?

Hi folks,

One of the advantages of several of the scholarship opportunities is that they allow you to enter any field of student that you are interested in, so you are not limited to Engineering, Medicine or Commerce.

A student asked me about how to do some career planning so I'll pass along some ideas. First, I don't know of a career guidance online site that is Southern African, but this one--although it is Canadian--does have some good generic information about a wide variety of careers, and it is easy to navigate your way around in it.

The other thing I suggest is that you spend quite a bit of time checking out the South African university sites because some of them do have links to career information within the various faculties' information.
